Processor |
Processor is often referred to as the Central Processing Unit (CPU). Processor has the main parts as follows:
Arithmetic Logical Unit (ALU)
Namely the center of mathematical calculations to execute all orders which must be done by a computer or electronic device.
This unit consists of two subsections namely :
1. Arithmetic section
Function of arithmetic section is to perform arithmetic operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. All complex operations are done by making repetitive use of above operations.
2. Logic Section
Function of logic section is to perform logic operations such as comparing, selecting, matching and merging of data.
3. Control Unit (CU)
which is part of ceremonies for all traffic data and calculations performed by the processor, so that all calculation and execution can be carried out in sequence from one command to another command. But this unit does not carry out any actual data processing operations.
Functions of this unit are:
- It is responsible for controlling the transfer of data and instructions among other units of a computer or electronic devices
- It manages and coordinates all the units of the computer or electronic devices
- It obtains the instructions from the memory, interprets them, and directs the operation of the computer or electronic devices
- It communicates with Input/Output devices for transfer of data or results from storage
- It does not process or store data
Memory Unit (MU)
Which is a temporary store commands that are often used by the processor. Commonly referred to as cache memory. The larger the cache memory, the better the execution speed of the processor. The higher the speed of the processor, the heat generated is also higher. It is also known as internal storage unit or main memory or primary storage or Random Access Memory (RAM).
Its size affects speed, power and capability. Primary memory and secondary memory are two types of memories in the computer. Functions of memory unit are:
1. It stores all the data and the instructions required for processing.
2. It stores intermediate results of processing.
3. It stores final results of processing before these results are released to an output device.
4. All inputs and outputs are transmitted through main memory.
To install the fan on the processor heat sink thermal paste required. This material serves to lower the temperature of the processor while it is working, closing the cavities on the touch pad between the processor and heat sink so that the heat can be transferred properly from the processor to the heat sink. Fan heat sink consists of aluminum and the fan. Fans made up of electronic components such as transistors, resistors, coils of wire, and so on.
Part of a series of several electronic components and other supporting components are arranged on a PCB, the processor can produce a performance that is capable of processing data, execute all orders, perform calculations, process the input, and so on. These processor components are arranged in the form of CHIP and called his son a computer or electronic device.
