The Democratic Republic of Congo's President, Felix Tshisekedi, stated on Wednesday that his nation is ready to collaborate with the United States on an agreement involving minerals in exchange for security support.

Tshisekedi told Fox News Hosted by Bret Baier, this partnership aims to enable Congo to exploit and refine its critical minerals for the advantage of U.S. firms, simultaneously strengthening the defensive and security capacities within the African nation.

"I believe that the U.S. has the capability to employ either pressure or sanctions to ensure that armed groups operating in the DRC remain contained," stated Tshisekedi.
