On March 21, Accra - The GNA reported that Dr. Daniel McKorley, CEO of McDan Group of Companies, encouraged Ghanaian enterprises to adopt innovation and creativity to position themselves as international frontrunners in trade and enterprise.
At the inauguration of the National Sales Leaders Conference (NSLC) 2025 in Accra, Dr. McKorley highlighted the importance of companies adapting to a more fiercely competitive landscape through the use of technology, data analysis, and approaches centered around customers.
He stated that every thriving business hinges on the capacity to comprehend market demands, develop solutions, and continually provide value.
“To foster job creation and develop robust businesses, we need to provide our sales experts with the necessary tools, skills, and strategies to succeed in this modern age.”
Dr. McKorley observed that sales had progressed from simple exchanges to encompassing customer interaction and the cultivation of lasting relationships.
“He emphasized that it’s not merely about making sales; rather, it’s about generating value that draws in and keeps customers.” He further noted that putting money into sales innovation could increase profitability as well as create additional employment prospects for young people.
The NSLC, set to take place from August 20-22 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), will focus on the theme "Reshaping Sales Excellence for Today’s Ever-Changing Markets."
The purpose of the conference is to provide businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders with the necessary insights, strategies, and networking opportunities needed to succeed in a changing marketplace.
Mr Michael Abbiw, who is organizing the NSLC 2025, mentioned that they anticipate around 2,500 participants from various sectors will attend the event.
"Last year, we welcomed 39 speakers; this year, we will host 52, promising more enriching discussions and deeper insights," he stated.
Our aim is to generate significant interactions—offering chances for direct engagement with valuable potential clients, initiating collaborations, and establishing partnerships.
Mr. Abbiw, who is also the incoming president of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), reiterated the organization's dedication to enhancing standards in marketing and achieving sales excellence.
He mentioned that the conference will delve into crucial subjects such as "The Importance of Ethics and Trust in Contemporary Sales Techniques."
We will explore how practicing ethical sales techniques provides a significant edge. In today’s environment, where gaining trust is challenging but losing it happens swiftly, companies prioritizing honesty will be the ones to endure over the long haul.
Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, CEO of Special Group of Companies, emphasized the crucial role that robust sales teams play in fostering business expansion.
He stated that success in business doesn’t hinge solely on the product but rather on the networks we establish, the trust we foster, and the strategic alliances we create.
To flourish in this new era, businesses need to integrate sales into every aspect of their organization. Sales should not be viewed merely as a department but rather as the lifeblood of the company.
Idorenyen Enang, who serves as both President and Chair of the Council at the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria, highlighted the NSLC 2025 as an important forum for transforming sales and marketing strategies within the area.
"This goes beyond merely gaining insights from specialists; it's also about ensuring our plans match up with upcoming challenges and possibilities," he pointed out.
The National Sales Leaders Conference has established itself as a premier gathering for advancing ideas and expertise in sales and marketing.
The current year's event aims to foster discussions about optimal strategies, market tendencies, and the direction of sales within Ghana and other regions.
