In the very center of Eldoret within the Uasin Gishu county, a Kenyan woman has crafted an exquisite haven that might just as well have been plucked right out of a luxurious lifestyle publication.

Gladys Kemboi's lovely abode, set amidst lush vegetation, is truly captivating, thanks to her impeccably maintained lawns that draw attention.
When constructing her cottage, Kemboi aimed to introduce the peace of nature right to her front door, merging it effortlessly with her sophisticated home, thereby attaining the perfect balance between natural serenity and urban elegance.
Talking with INSPIRATIONS DIGITAL.co.ke, the homeowner shared that her passion for landscaping originated from a childhood aspiration she was eager to realize.
"When I was younger, I would often grow flowers at my mother's house and keep the area tidy. As a child, I looked up to those large properties with beautifully maintained grounds. I even had the habit of searching online for images of nice gardens and saving them on my phone. Mom instilled in me the importance of having a neat compound," she reminisced warmly.
The woman from Eldoret mentioned that she is a self-made landscaper. She designed and executed the entire space herself, turning her property into an exquisite garden featuring neatly maintained lawns, lush vegetation, and strategically positioned trees.
"Most of the job was done by myself. Only getting grills and welding cost me some money," she said.
Ways to Keep a Landscaped Complex Well-Maintained
Kemboi mentioned that the actual task is taking care of the compound, noting that this significantly enhances its overall appearance.
"Putting up a landscape is easy, but maintaining it is where most people fail. Like uprooting weeds and watering during the dry season like now," she added.
She encouraged property owners to put money into superior gardening and upkeep to achieve their ideal compound settings.
"Occasionally, it can be intriguing to observe individuals who have poured millions into constructing their houses yet hesitate to invest even slightly in landscaping. Consequently, their homes may fail to appear as magnificent as they could," she noted.
