The Nigerian Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, stated that his country intends to establish defense, agricultural, and military collaboration with Bangladesh.
He mentioned that this bilateral collaboration, if explored further, would effectively incorporate military personnel into multiple non-military fields like farming, building, and infrastructure creation.
The information was included in a press release distributed by Mati Ali, who serves as the Personal Assistant to the Minister for Media and Publicity, on Friday.
The statement went on to say, "This collaboration is intended to guarantee that military personnel stay productively involved during times of peace, thereby fostering their individual financial well-being as well as advancing the country’s comprehensive growth."
He highlighted that the advantages of this military collaboration in farming and defense would result in meaningful engagements for service members, enhancing their capabilities as well as contributing to community growth.
He pointed out that this highlights the Ministry of Defence's commitment to pioneering approaches aimed at enhancing the well-being of service members and fostering the overall growth of Nigeria.
