Many users worldwide are reporting issues with the widely-used international gaming platform. Roblox is down.
According to a spike observed on Downdetector—which displays reports of platform issues recorded within the past 24 hours—hundreds of people have encountered difficulties with Roblox starting from as early as 10 am today, with peak complaints occurring in the most recent hour.
The primary issue surfacing is that users are finding it difficult to establish a connection with the server or even browse the website.
As an international platform, Roblox is particularly favored by younger audiences and provides a variety of games along with interactive tools. It also allows users to design their own challenges.
It was introduced in 2006, but gained particular popularity amongst younger audiences as a social gaming phenomenon during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is estimated that Roblox had over 164 million monthly users in August 2020, and reportedly, half of all American children under 16 years old have played this game. The Sun reported.
