Supriya Sule Rips Air India for Delayed Flight, Blames Operational Issues

Mumbai (Maharashtra), India, March 22 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Member of Parliament Supriya Sule criticised Air India After being delayed for over an hour, she implored the Union Aviation Minister. Ram Mohan Naidu To implement tougher rules to ensure airline responsibility.

Supriya Sule mentioned that her journey on flight AI0508 has been pushed back by 1 hour and 19 minutes, highlighting the ongoing issues with delays impacting travelers.

"I was travelling on Air India Flight AI0508, which experienced a delay of 1 hour and 19 minutes — continuing the pattern of persistent delays impacting travelers. This situation is unacceptable. I urge the Honorable Civil Aviation Minister. Ram Mohan Naidu to implement more stringent rules to discipline airlines such as Air India Sule emphasized accountability for recurrent delays and stressed the importance of improving service standards for passengers in his post on X.

In a different posting, Sule mentioned that these flights consistently run behind schedule, causing issues for professionals, children, and seniors due to poor management.

" Air India Flights keep getting constantly delayed — this situation is intolerable! Despite paying top-tier prices, our trips are perpetually late. Whether you're professionals, kids, or elderly passengers, everyone suffers from this ongoing mismanagement. I urge the Civil Aviation Minister to step in and address these issues promptly. Air India accountable," Sule wrote.

Responding on Sule's concern, Air India mentioned that the flight was postponed because of sporadic operational problems beyond their control.

Dear Madam, we understand that delays can be quite annoying. Nonetheless, sometimes there are external operational problems beyond our control which may impact flight timings. Your departure to Mumbai tonight has been pushed back by one hour because of such circumstances. Thank you for your patience. Air India replied on Sule's post.

Last month, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted the problem with the "uneasy" seating during his Air India flight.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan had posted about his unsatisfactory encounter, mentioning that the seat felt "sunken in" and was uncomfortable. He further conveyed his irritation with this situation. Air India Despite Tata assuming control of the management, the quality of service had not enhanced.
